If a substantial change is needed, we’ll leave a comment for you in Microsoft Word.
Certain nonfiction projects come to me as pdfs. In that case, I’ll add comments to the document.
We proofread and copyedit academic papers, such as dissertations, journal articles, and theses, and other nonfiction publications, such as reports and grant proposals. We also meet clients virtually in live sessions to help them improve their writing skills.

For one-time projects, I ask for half of the estimated payment upfront and the rest of the actual cost when I send the project.
In the case of ongoing edits, payment is due upon receipt. I’ll send your document as soon as I’m done editing it (I won’t hold it until I receive payment), but I will wait to begin more edits until I have the previous payment.
If you’re writing a paper and need more time, please let me know as soon as possible. I’ll do my best to work you into my upcoming schedule. My schedule does fill up, though, and I can’t guarantee a new time slot.
If you need to cancel a live session with me, please let me know at least two hours beforehand. I’ll charge half price for sessions cancelled within two hours of the start time.

We don’t use AI to edit your writing. We won’t feed your writing to ChatGPT or any other AI program, and none of your writing will be used to train a large-language model. All of the editing and formatting is completed by a human, with human eyes, to maintain your human voice.
