Working Writer’s Cohort

Working Writers Cohort

Working on your dissertation is lonely. It's hard to find enough time and enough support.

Between 20 and 50% of doctoral students will never finish their PhDs. A third of those who don’t finish will drop out during the dissertation-writing phase (Maher et al., 2013). The problem is worse when students are part-time students with other responsibilities or live far from campus.

The Working Writers Cohort is based on research and writing group best practices and is designed as an academic writing group for writers whose family and life obligations get in the way of writing. Here, you will find dedicated time to write each week, a supportive and encouraging writing cohort, access to exclusive writing tips, and much more!

The Working Writers Cohort is the group for you if...

  • you need to commit to time to work on your dissertation.
  • you have questions about writing and need more support to get through the process than you’re getting.
  • your writing situation looks anything like these honest (tired!) pictures.

Do these struggles resonate with you?
